Enhance in Action

We are committed to participating in the world’s transition to a zero-carbon economy.  We are reducing the global carbon footprint by advancing our Carbon, Capture and Storage (CCS) developments including our initial project for CCUS enhanced oil recovery (EOR) operations at our Clive field in Alberta. In June 2020, Enhance and our partners commemorated the milestone of ACTL reaching full operations with first injection of CO2 at Clive. We will continue to provide ongoing information on the ACTL system and our EOR project, including the latest news and relevant updates on industry CCS / CCUS developments.

Our low-carbon energy solution

No other crude oil produced in the world will have a lower net-carbon impact on the environment. We’re Enhance Energy, and we’re passionate about the world’s transition to a zero-carbon economy.  Here’s what we are doing about it.

How Alberta is turning carbon emissions into an advantage

Article by Chemical & Engineering News | January 24, 2022

The ACTL transports the CO2 to Enhance Energy, 240 km away in Clive, Alberta. Kevin Jabusch, Enhance’s president, explains that his company purchases CO2 from Nutrien and NWR and generates revenues from the CO2 in two ways. One is using it for enhanced oil recovery, the process of injecting CO2 to dislodge hydrocarbons trapped underground. Any CO2 that comes up with the oil is sent back into the reservoir for permanent storage. “Nothing ends up being emitted into the atmosphere,” Jabusch says.

E3 Metals Investigates Carbon Sequestration in Alberta as a Potential for Carbon Neutrality

Article by e3 Metals Corp | January 21, 2022

On January 19, 2022, Enhance Energy (“Enhance”), a carbon management company, announced its Origins Project, a proposed carbon sequestration hub located near one of E3 Metals’ project areas. This would provide a local sequestration option for the Company. E3 Metals and Enhance are collaborating on the proposed development of carbon sequestration as it relates to lithium production and as a potential location for any CO2 sequestration by E3 Metals, should the Company select this option. This includes an evaluation of both technical and regulatory synergies for both Enhance and E3 Metals.
