Lawrence Derrick

Lawrence has been with Enhance since the purchase of the Clive site in 2013, initially as Foreman and now as Construction Manager. With over 40 years of industry experience, he was integral in the construction and commissioning of the CO2 facility at Clive, as well as the construction of its gathering system, high-volume lift scheme, and sweet gas CBM gathering system. In his spare time, he enjoys competing in drag racing and snowmobiling.

Leadership Team

Chris Kupchenko, President and CEO
Chris has more than 15 years of experience in the energy industry in both technical and commercial capacities. He aspires to make meaningful progress toward our national emissions reduction targets through the growth of CCUS in Canada by advancing commercial projects that positively impact economies, communities and families. Chris has held roles at private and public companies in functions ranging from technical operations to executive leadership. He holds a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta.
Mike Hearn, Vice President, Finance and CFO
Mike has a broad business background and brings over 20 years of experience in the Canadian energy space.  His experience includes big four accounting, a boutique energy investment bank, and he was the CFO of a TSX listed energy company.  Mike holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
Candice Paton, Vice President, Corporate Affairs

 

Candice is the Vice President – Corporate Affairs at Enhance Energy with over 15 years of experience in technology development and innovation in energy systems. She is passionate about energy technologies, environmental performance and community impact, holding an authoritative voice in the safe, permanent and best practices of CO2 utilization and storage. Her expertise is sought by governments, regulators, industry partners and the public. She holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
